MoMuse
Molenbeek as you’ve never seen it before!
Since 2017, MoMuse welcomes young and old explorers who want to discover Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. Through the museum’s halls, 1000 objects and images tell the story of the municipality, its inhabitants, and their ways of life.
La Fonderie
La Fonderie embodies an iconic place, bearing witness to the industrial past of the municipality of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. Founded in 1983, the association works to highlight the heritage directly linked to this past and the multitude of themes and issues it raises through various activities.
City Hall of Brussels
Of all of the town halls in the country, the City of Brussels town hall is undoubtedly one of the most majestic! This Gothic building, built in the 15th century, is enhanced by its setting on the Grand-Place, often described as the most beautiful square in the world.
Hall Saint-Géry
The Halles Saint-Géry aim to showcase the uniqueness of Brussels through its heritage, town planning and urban cultures. Throughout the year, they host festivals, installations, performances, multidisciplinary creations and other large events.
Ravenstein Gallery
The Ravenstein Gallery, which leads to Central Station, forms an important connection between the upper and lower city. The gallery, which houses shops and restaurants, remains a busy thoroughfare for numerous Brussels residents and commuters to this day.
The Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries
The Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is an ensemble of three glazed shopping arcades. It consists of the King’s Gallery, the Queen’s Gallery and the Princes’ Gallery. Construction work began in 1846 and the official inauguration took place on 20 June 1847, in the presence of Leopold I.
Plein Public
The imposing building was used as a reception hall for official ceremonies during Expo 58, but then fell into disuse for decades. Until 2019, when Plein Public took up residence there. Today, the stately gates conceal a meeting place for foodies, partygoers and art lovers alike. A hip hotspot with architectural allure that you should not skip when exploring the city!
Wolf
The first food market in Brussels in a former bank. They use the authentic elements as much as possible. For example, each restaurant is housed in a former ticket office in order to preserve the rich history of the building.
Museum of Illusions
Welcome to the Museum of Illusions Brussels where nothing is what it seems! You will challenge your perception and trick your senses with over 60 mind-bending exhibits and optical illusions that will have you scratching your head. Grand Hospice
A mix of the “pop-up bar and lanterns” spirit, a trendy bar and an urban oasis, the Grand Hospice is one of those new hybrid places that Brussels really love and that make the city more vibrant. The gardens of the former Pacheco Institute, a neoclassical complex with beautiful colonnades and a listed interior park, have become a meeting point for a wide range of social and cultural activities.
Brasserie de la Senne
At the forefront of the craft beer revival in Brussels, Brasserie de la Senne has worked to reintroduce highly hopped beers. Their range also includes barrel-aged mixed-fermentation beers, as well as beers re-fermented with local brettanomyces yeast.
Royal Depot
The Royal Depot, which was built between 1904 and 1907, is a magnificent building of brick, natural stone, steel and glass. It was initially intended for long-term goods storage. A railway line ran through this warehouse located alongside the port of Brussels, making it part of the Tour & Taxis multimodal centre. Having been restored in 2000, the Royal Depot now comprises both shops and offices. Many artistic events, trade fairs, music festivals and exclusive evening events have also been organised there.
