Running straight through the Federal Parliament and the Brussels City Hall? On Sunday 25 June, you can! In the Liantis Urban Trail Brussels, participants will run past locations and straight through buildings that are not accessible to the general public on a normal day. Online registration remains open until Saturday.

Start and finish of the Liantis Urban Trail Brussels are on the Place de la Monnaie. Participants can opt for a 7 or 12 km course that will take them to the most diverse and surprising locations our capital city has to offer. Highlights are undoubtedly the passage through the Federal Parliament and the ‘balcony scene’ at the Gothic City Hall, where runners can enjoy a magnificent view of the majestic Grand Place.

Those opting for the longest distance will visit no fewer than 16 locations, including the Comics Art Museum, the National Bank’s Printing Works, the Museum of Illusions, the Halles Saint-Géry, the Royal Gallery of Saint-Hubert, BruCity and the brand-new Cynthia Bolingo Sports Hall in the Marolles. From September, more than 30 clubs and associations will be able to use the facilities of the new sports hall. The roof holds 348 solar panels and there’s also a mural by Dema One and Maïcha.

Brussels will be the opening stage of the Liantis Urban Trail Series 2023 on Sunday. This year, runners can also go on an athletic exploration of Ghent (22 October), Antwerp (19 November) and Mechelen (9 December).
